Guardian Guard Services Courtesy Patrol Honored

Members of the Guardian Guard Services Courtesy Patrol which patrols the Ten Mile Rd. and Greenfield area was honored at Guardian’s headquarters on Friday, December 12, 2008, for their diligent service.

The patrol was inaugurated in March of 2008, in response to a group of residents in the Ten Mile Rd. and Greenfield Rd. area. This patrol which spans portions of both Southfield and Oak Park initially met with some skepticism during the planning phase. A mobile patrol on public streets covering portions of two different municipal jurisdictions had never been attempted before in this area. But Guardian is never afraid to take on a new challenge and agreed to go forward with this project.

The following nine months have been a resounding success for the patrol receiving kudos from law enforcement, the mayor of Oak Park and most importantly from members of the community served by the patrol. The group which hired Guardian for the patrol reports being overwhelmed by residents expressing how much safer they feel now that the Courtesy Patrol is on the streets. Guardian Guards General Manager David Beeler stated that the secret to this success story was the willingness to work closely with the residents, law enforcement and city officials. Mr. Beeler further stated that “The experience that we have gained this year in community patrolling can be applied to other communities with a high expectation of success.”
